Quilt 7: Thanks for Your Patience

Created from my couch during a low point within the Fall of 2023. The story quilt depicts a chapter of opening up, growth, love, patience/impatience, sharing and heartache. The Thanks for Your Patience zine accompanies this project and uses words and drawings to deepen the narrative. This quilt poured out of me and revealed itself one piece at a time.

Media: Mixed fabric scraps, cotton batting, machine pieced, hand quilted, hand embroidered
Completed: October 2023

Much love to: friends (who know me and know how to love me through it all), artists Heidi Parkes, Jennie Bastian, and Maria Amalia Wood (whose work continues to help me explore textiles/embroidery as a playground for drawing, processing and storytelling), and comfort tv shows (that always resurface at times of healing).
