Quilt 8: Aunties Quilt

I referred to this project lovingly as a “forced collaboration.” When making this quilt for Baby Pritzl, I looped in my dear friends (the aunties) to help. Each of them designed a square using grid paper and colored pencils from our selected color palette. After mailing me their drawings, I translated them into fabric and pieced them all together to create the final quilt.

Media: Mixed fabric scraps, cotton batting, machine pieced and quilted, hand embroidered
Completed: February 2024

Much love to: Gail, Tay, Jamie, and Taylor (for getting out of their comfort zones to make something with me), Abby & Taylor (who are going to be really great parents to this new little one) and to the simple fact that there are so many Taylors in my life.
