one of those people who
loves their job
“Each and every day I get to dream with artists and build alongside my community through my job with the Bubbler at Madison Public Library. In this work we champion artistic expression as a genuine form of storytelling throughout our public library system and in our community spaces.
For me no two days are the same and so much of this work ripples into my own art practice through people & processes & patterns in the everyday.”

Across our nine libraries I champion artists’ ideas in the forms of ARTIST RESIDENCES & EXHIBITIONS. Here a few I feel particularly connected to:
>>> Wishing Well / Well Wishes Residency // Maria Schirmer Devitt // 2023
>>> Viajes Del Horizonte // Maria Amalia Wood // Pinney Studio Residency // 2021
>>> Luck of the Draw (vol. 2) // group exhibition // 2019 -
Using my role, I uplift the ideas and stories of others. Here are few projects I’m especially honored to be a part of:
>>> Time(is): An Exploration of Black Art in Madison // Group exhibition curated by Sophia Abrams // 2022
>>> Crowns in Chaos // Dear Diary Collaboration // Shiloah Coley // 2021
>>> Who Matters: Intergenerational Photo + Story Project // Jennifer Bastian + Pam Phillips Olson // 2017 -
A big chunk of my job is held in containers, messy spreadsheets, and behind-the-scenes meetings to foster collaborations. Here’s a peek into some favorite projects and events:
>>> Print & Resist Zinefest // annually
>>> MUNICIPAL // 2016
>>> Madison Mural Alley // 2016
